Lobe, cross section. On top a cortex of tight mycelium and beneath a layer with the symbiontic
green algae. Under this algae layer follows a loose ordered layer of mycelium.
At the bottom a brown cortex consisting of tight, felty mycelium. At the surface the formation of the
